1. Day: Arrive Saigon

Arrive in the evening at Saigon airport. After clearing customs, proceed outside the airport where your driver awaits to take you to your hotel. In the evening you will have time to wander the streets of Saigon to get your first feel for the city. Be sure to catch the sunset from one of the cities rooftop terraces. This is a great way to begin to experience the lively atmosphere of Saigon and form your first impressions of Vietnam. (-/-/-)

2. Day: Saigon

After having breakfast at the hotel, your guide will join you and take you on a walking tour of the city's highlights. After enjoying a tasty and traditional pho noodle soup for lunch, the group will join together with our mechanics and other Vietnamese companions who will be providing you with advice and experience as we get our first taste of the Vespa experience. First you will take a back seat and just be a passenger in order to get a feel for the flow of traffic as a participant and not just an observer from the sidewalk. When you feel a bit more comfortable you will drive your own on some of the calmer roads of Saigon.
Our first ride takes us to the area called China Town. While you were undoubtedly amazed at the never-ending stream of motorbikes that fill the streets of Saigon, you will now be amazed at the feeling of becoming part of this crowd. You will merge with these riders and experience first-hand the friendliness of the Vietnamese people and how they welcome you into their world.
On our first tour we will also visit the famous Giac Lam Pagode which is said to be the oldest within the city. Next our trip takes us through seemingly rural areas within the metropolis of Saigon. Through our guidance you will begin to know the city beyond the major tourist centers.
After a drink at the river bank on the peninsula Thanh we head back to the city. The evening and dinner is at your leisure. (approx. 40k/24 miles) (B/L/-)

3. Day: Saigon - Long Hai - Ho Tram

After breakfast at the hotel we will leave the city and head for the coast on our Vespas. In Cat Lai we will take the ferry crossing and continue driving toward Long Hai. Along the way we will make frequent stops for breaks in the shade of the Indian rubber trees and fruit plantations. This gives us all a chance to enjoy the day and meet local people. If you chose to not drive certain portions of the journey you are welcome to ride in the air-conditioned bus which accompanies the group and transports all the luggage.
Upon arrival at the resort in Long Hai, the beach invites you to come down for a visit. Afterwards enjoy a refreshing bath and a restful night's sleep. (B/-/-) (Vespa travel approx. 120km/72 miles)

4. Day: Long Hia - Mui Ne

After breakfast our Vespa tour takes us over the roads-less-traveled along the coast to Phuoc Buu. We pass lonely bays and rock formations along the way and arrive in La Gi for lunch. In the afternoon we continue our drive towards the untouched beach sections of Mui Ne. During this journey we visit the oldest lighthouse from Ka Ge and a local school.
Our beach hotel lies just 22km from the city of Phan Thiet. You can either chose to enjoy the remainder of the day on the beach of Mui Ne, or travel further up the road to a fishing village and enjoy a bit of local culture. Here, hundreds of fish join together in the pictoral bay and offer a breath-taking sight in the evening sun.
For this evening's dinner we suggest enjoying a large offering of fresh, local seafood at one of Mui Ne's many top locations. Overnight accommodation in Cocobeach Hotel. (Vespa travel approx. 137km/82 m) (B/-/-)

5. Day: Mui Ne - Ninh Chu

The entire day day is for you to relax perhaps enjoy the day at the beaxh or a massage.
For those who want the vespas are available to explore the area.

6. Day: Ninh Chu - Nha Trang

Early in the morning we leave Mui Ne to experience dawn at the nearby sand dunes. Enjoy the morning amongst the dunes while having your picnic breakfast complete with champagne before we drive north along the coast with our Vespas. Today you will have many photo opportunities as we drive 135km through beautiful countryside of lonely beach bays and breath-taking landscapes while meeting the friendly local people along the way. Our final destination for the day is Ninh Chu where we will overnight at Hotel Den Gion. (Vespa travel approx. 135k/81m) (B/-/-)

7. Day: Nha Trang - Whale Island

After breakfast at the hotel we once again hop on our Vespas and make our way to Nha Trang. Nha Trang is a famous coastal area of Vietnam which became a favorite of the Frenchman in the past. The city has a beautiful beach promenade packed with cafes and restaurants. While exploring the city on our Vespas we will be sure to visit other sites of interest including the Ponagar temple and the Ngoc Son Pagode. The evening is free for you to explore, relax, and enjoy. (Vespa travel approx. 115 km/69m) (B/-/-)

8. Day: Whale Island - Quy Nohn

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we begin our drive down the curvy and at-times hilly coastal road into the beautiful Vanphong Bay which lies north of Nha Trang. We will stop to have lunch at Dai Lanh beach before continuing on our journey. The last 50k of this journey is on very calm roads. To reach Whale Island we must leave the Vespas ashore and set off by boat to this prehistoric island. Here you can truly have the Robinson Curusoe feeling as the island is practically deserted with the exception of one resort, which is our home for the evening. (B/-/-) Vespa travel approx. 100k/60m)

9. Day: Quy Nohn - Hoi An

In the morning enjoy breakfast at the resort before we head back to the mainland, reunite with our Vespas, and begin our trip to Quy Nonh. The day is rich with scenery and more interactions with Vietnamese people. We will reach Quy Nonh just after noon and check into our stylish beach hotel. Those who want can either take an afternoon trip with the Vespas or a boat ride out to visit one of the nearby islands. Or, simply relax in the serenity of the resort - the wellness offerings of the resort will leave no wish unfulfilled.

10. Day: Hoi An - Hue

The morning is yours to enjoy breakfast and lounge at the resort before we board the train for the 300k trip to Danang, where our bus carrying the luggage and Vepsas are awaiting our arrival. Feeling fresh and renewed we swing back into the saddle and begin to explore China Beach back into the city of Hoian. Along the way we will visit the five marble mountains which symbolize the five elements of water, metal, wood, fire and earth. Also we visit Fai Fo which was considered for centuries the most important port. In 1535 the Portuguese developed a commercial establishment there. Hoian was already one of the main places of shipment for the Chinese and the Japanese.
The old part of Hoian has been declared a world culture heritage site by Unesco. It is home to the oldest surviving architecture in all of Vietnam. On your walk of the city you will see temples, pagodas, colonial houses, the famous Japanese bridge, and old Chinese community center s which shape the townscape. You will have the opportunity to visit the daily markets and ample opportunities to buy Vietnamese works of art.
The evening and dinner is at your leisure. (B/-/-) (Vespa travel approx 45k/27m)

11. Day: Hue

After breakfast at the hotel spend the morning becoming acquainted with the charming city of Hoian by traveling around and experiencing the different areas on a tour led by your local guide. After lunch we make our way with the Vespas to Hue.
Our panoramic trip to Hue includes going through the ocean cloud pass (the weather sheath between north and south Vietnam) and stops along the paradise-like coast between Danang and Hue. The azure blue waters almost pull you in and the fine, white sand of the nearly deserted beaches invite you to stay a while. Alas, we must push on!
Hue is another Unesco World Heritage site and here we will have the opportunity to visit the imperial citadel which was built after the model in Peking. We will also take a rural excursion of the area surrounding Hue to discover more of its beauty. (B/-/-) (Vespa travel approx. 100k/60m)

12. Day: Hue - Saigon

After breakfast at the hotel we take a long-tail boat tour on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, a landmark of Hue.
Later with the Vespas we will visit the emporers graves as well as typical summer houses of this time period. Enjoy your boat trip while passing through the old University town which was preferred by literaries throughout history for inspiration and relaxation.
In late afternoon we will return to the hotel to gather our things and prepare for transport to the airport for our evening flight back to Saigon.
Transfer to Huong Sen hotel for overnight. Dinner and evening on your own. (B/-/-) (Vespa travel approx 80k/48m)
